The Pattern Conspiracy and the Sheep and Wool Festival

Mom and I are at it again!

1) People have really liked the Sheep and Pickle Farm Mock Cable Sock on Ravelry.  So much so that it has become the second most-popular page on this site!   I know I am really enjoying my pair in this pattern.   In honor of that success, Mom is working on a fingerless glove design featuring the mock-cable pattern.  She says that the pattern looks very nice in the variegated color of our hand-dyed yarn.  It’s a one-skein pattern, too – the perfect excuse to pick up some of our hand-dyed yarn before it runs out! Here is a different pattern, Swirling Gauntlets,  recently knit by my sister in our Red Tractor colorway.

2)  We’re pleased and excited to announce that we’ll be vendors at the 2014 Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival on October 4th and 5th  at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds.  Even better, Agnes is coming too, along with a friend or two.  We’re hoping to have ewe lambs to sell as breedstock, frozen lamb and mutton, copies of patterns and some finished items.  It goes without saying that we’ll have roving, yarn and pelts!   If you have any interest in sheep or fiber, the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival has something to entertain or interest you!

Mom and I are working on an intermediate-level colorwork design just for the festival – here’s a sneak preview!

3) I’m going though baby-lamby withdrawal, so I am posting an unpublished picture from last year to remind me of what I’m in for:
